For the calendar year 2009, MidwestFreePress.com will not only keep track of all the city’s homicides, but also break down the racial/ethnic identities of all the perps and victims.

The first murder of the year involved a white convenience store clerk who was gunned down in cold blood by two black males. The two suspects are still at large.

The second murder involved the heinous beating death of a 7 month old baby girl by her own father Augustine Rubio. This piece of filth is currently in custody awaiting trial.

On January 22, Peter Barges became the second white to be murdered in Omaha’s third homicide of the year. Armando Gomez, pictured, has been arrested as an accessory to the crime while the OPD believes the trigger man is still unaccounted for.  Mr. Gomez was employed by Quality Fencing.
